ITINERARY:

 

DAY 01 LIMA

Arrive in Lima. Meeting and transfer to your hotel. Guided visit to Colonial and Modern Lima. Drive through the historic center of the city. Admire the beauty of San Martin and Major squares, the Cathedral, the Government Palace and visit the Convent of San Francisco and its catacombs, religious building from the end of the XVI century. Continue through the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.

DAY 02 LIMA - CUSCO

Transfer to the airport in time for the flight to Cusco. Meeting and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the morning at leisure to adjust to the high altitude (11,000 feet). City tour including the nearby ruins. Visit Main Square, the Cathedral and its religious Art Museum, the Church of Santo Domingo or Koricancha. Includes visits to the Sacsayhuaman and Puca Pucara fortresses, the temple and amphitheater of Kenko and the water shrine of Tambomachay.

DAY 03 CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU

"08.00 Transfer to station.
09:00 Departure from Poroy Station (15 minutes drive from Cusco city). Branch will be served on board.
12.30 Arrival at Puente Ruinas Station in Machu Picchu. Transfer by bus to the entrance of the Sanctuary.
13:00 Guided visit to the Sanctuary
15:30 Afternoon tea buffet in the Machu Picchu Sanctuary L?dge which is located just steps from the entrance of the ruins.
Overnight at one of the hotels in the area.

DAY 04 MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

"Morning at leisure to explore the ruins on own or visit the hot springs in Aguas Calientes town. Lunch at a restaurant in Aguas Calientes. 17:45 Meet at the entrance of the ruins to take the bus back down to the Machu Picchu train station. 18:30 Train departs for Cusco. On-board there will be a cocktail and gastronomic dinner served. 22:15 Arrival in Poroy station. Transfer to your hotel."

DAY 05 CUSCO

"Day at leisure in Cusco.
Optional: On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, there is the possibility of visiting the Urubamba Valley. Visit the village of Pisac and its authentic and traditional Market where Indians barter their products. Then continue through the Urubamba Valley to Ollantaytambo, favorite residence of the Incas, with its terraces running up the steep slope to the top where a carved stone throne allowed the ruler a magnificent view of his holdings. You will also see the fabulous Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo."

DAY 06 CUSCO - LIMA

Transfer to the airport in time for the flight to Lima. Meeting and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon guided shopping tour.

DAY 07 LIMA

Transfer to the airport for your international departure flight.
